Moscow, Russia, Monday 15th October 2018 — Factom Authority Node Operator De Facto today announced the launch of their Factom Robot, a blockchain proof-of-possession and existence tool.
Factom Robot stores immutable proof-of-possession records into it’s public chain on the Factom blockchain. The tool is the easiest way to create proof-of-possession for intellectual property — all the owner needs to do is send the file to the @FactomRobot on Telegram messenger, and it manages everything.
“It’s important that your personal information, such as name or document’s data, is never publicly visible on the blockchain. Instead, we store a digital fingerprint known as a “hash”. The process cannot be reversed, so your documents and personal information are safe from prying eyes.”Anton Ilzheev, De Facto’s founder
Any intellectual property: an article, image, source code, etc — can have its ownership and existence proven by the owner sending the file to the Factom Robot, thus storing it on the Factom blockchain. Ownership records stored on Factom are public and immutable.
A proof-of-existence certificate is issued for each processed file.
Additionally, a valid digital signature is used to prove the authenticity of a record, so it can not be faked by third parties.
